Nurse Clinics

We offer clinics run by nurses in conjunction with the doctors for Diabetes, Ischaemic Heart Disease, Hypertension, Stroke, Hypothyroidism, Epilepy, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health, Dementia, Contraception and Sexual Health  and Respiratory Diseases.

When patients are diagnosed with a long term illness then they are placed on a register and they will be called according to protocol on a 6 monthly or annual basis. They will usually have blood tests once a year prior to the appointment date. Should you have any concerns about your health in between these appointments eg worsening asthma symptoms, then an appointment should be made with the doctor to address your concerns.

Nurse Practitioner Clinics

  • Skin rashes, eczema or acne problems

In some cases it may be necessary for her to ask you to make a further review appointment with the doctor, or she will discuss your case with the doctor at the time of your appointment.

Community Matron

We have a highly qualified nurse who works with the doctors to provide a service to patients living in the community with long term conditions. She works to support patients and their carers looking at ways of improving the patient’s quality of life and reducing the risks of emergency hospital admissions.
